Beginning of the journey, to CAMBODIA:)

SO, it is official~I’ve been accepted to be a missionary to Cambodia through Adventures in Missions!!!:) Thanks to ALL who have been diligently praying for God’s will for my life!!

After the initial excitement wore off of being accepted I started to become a little fearful…fearful that I would not be able to do the task God has set before me, fearful that I will not be able to stand being away from my family and friends for the 2yrs I am committing to, fearful that I will not have enough spiritual and financial support, full of fear about the endless amounts of bugs, heat and lack of comfortable conveniences of America…I began to think how awful I was for thinking any of things! I mean God has given me the privilege of being apart of His vision for growing His kingdom!! But then I started to hear parts of scripture running through my head and heart, reaffirming me and comforting me in my fears. Man, what an amazing God we serve! He loves us so much even enough that He would stick around and encourage us even when we start thinking thoughts that are not of Him or for Him! I then began thinking of all the little ones that God wants to love on but needs someone to physically show His love to them…to hold them, smile at them, laugh and cry with them, to serve and protect them. Who, then if not the person He has called will show up in Cambodia and do what He has asked if I don’t listen to His call on my life?
“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans10:15.

I know there will be more times of discouragement or second guessing but I know with out a doubt this is the call that God has on my life and the more time I spend with Him the more I will not be overcome with fear and doubt.

I have many things to be praying for and many things to be doing to start the process of preparing to engage others to join me in the journey of being the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of Cambodia.

Here are a couple thing you could be praying along with me for:

 – building a foundation of prayer and financial partners
 – God’s protection from the enemy by discouragement, negativity, and other things that he will do to try and pull me away from doing God’s will
 – that God continues to be in the details and that I will see Him in the details
 – selling my car and other apartment essentials
 – other non-verbal prayer requests

Thank you for the prayers and support!
